The reported earnings of 37¢ per diluted share successfully beat analyst expectations, which were set at 32¢ per share before the opening of Tuesday's market. Revenue for the quarter was $2.6bn, exceeding the $2.54bn predicted by analysts.
Back in June, Baxter International announced its spinoff from Baxalta (BXLT), a biopharmaceutical firm. Now Baxter, which produces treatments for hemophilia, kidney disease, and immune disorders amongst other medical conditions, is looking forward to what the future holds.
