Deerfield to illuminate Village Hall for holidays
To ring in the winter festivities, Deerfield will hold the Winter Lighting Celebration at Village Hall next month as the official beginning of the Winter Market weekend.
The Annual Winter Lighting Celebration marks the start of the village’s winter festivities that last into the weekend, with the community being invited to watch Mayor Shapiro as he does the honor of officially lighting up Village Hall with holiday lights. Attendees will enjoy roasted chestnuts provided by Deerfield Auto & Tire, hot soup from the Italian Kitchen, popcorn and apple cider from Deerfield BP, and cookies by the Patty Turner Center, all of whom are generous sponsors of the event this year.
There will also be live ice sculpting at the event and holiday performances courtesy of the Deerfield High School Choraliers and Frozen Robins, a premiere holiday caroling group. Tractor wagon rides will be held continuously throughout the evening for the enjoyment of children and adults alike.
Holiday town events, such as this one happening in Deerfield, will often be advertised utilizing printed advertising methods that local print shops can accommodate, which may come in the form of flyer printing.
The Deerfield Winter Lighting Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 5, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It will be held at the Village of Deerfield Hall, located at 850 Waukegan Road.
