Local school makes top 10 in the state

The U.S. News and World Report has named Deerfield High School (DHS) as the sixth best high school in Illinois for 2014.

It has also been named the second best high school in a suburban area in the state, and 217th in the United States. Lincolnshire's Adlai E. Stevenson was the only suburban school to score higher. These are the second and third honors for DHS this month, as it was named as the state’s 35th most challenging high school by the Washington Post as well.

The schools are judged by the performance of the students compared to the state average, including disadvantaged students, and how well students are ready for college, training, or going straight out into the working world. It seeks to assess whether the students doing better than the state's expectations and by how much?

Data from the International Baccalaureate, AP, and Prairie State Achievement Examination are used to rank each school in these categories, as they have been for the past three years. In addition, Highland Park came in tenth, and five other local schools ranked in the top 20.

Both public and private schools usually need printing services, such as Posters and Banners. They can save money by having one business fulfill all of their needs and ordering all their requirements from the same Print company.
