Informative meetups on the Deerfield calendar

The Chamber of Commerce for Deerfield, Bannockburn, and Riverwoods has announced two upcoming events.

The Illinois Small Business Development and International Trade Center is hosting a seminar called Financing a Business Startup. It will take place at the Grayslake Campus of the College of Lake County, located at 19351 West Washington Street. Tickets are $25.

Insufficient financing is one of the causes for the failure of a business, and can stop business hopefuls from starting in the first place, but finding funds to start a business is possible with the right knowledge.

Financing a Business Startup will teach participants business finance fundamentals, various supplies of financing, and which are friendly towards business startups. After the concepts of exploring financing are covered, the seminar will highlight controlling the funds for the best possible outcome. This includes information on cash flow and the use of capital.

The Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Support Group will meet at Deerfield Public Library. The meeting is free to attend and provides group support for those who loved ones developed the Alzheimer’s or other illnesses where dementia is prominent. Attendees can also gather information on the illnesses. The library is located at 920 Waukegan Road.

Financing a Business Startup will start at 6:00 pm on April 2 and end at 7:30pm. The Alzheimer Support Group will meet on April 6 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. It will continue to meet the first Monday of each month. Brochure printing is used to spread information in a clear and interesting way.
