Local photography buffs should note that the Deerfield Public Library will hold the Fall Photography Scavenger Hunt starting in September and running through November.
The Deerfield Public Library serves the community by providing open access to lifelong learning, knowledge, and information in a welcoming and encouraging environment. The library frequently hosts special workshops and classes in which library patrons can learn new skills or hone those they already have. The Fall Photography Scavenger Hunt will provide a chance to photographers of all levels to go out into nature and capture the incoming fall season.
Open to teens in grades 6th through 12th, as well as adults, the photography hunt will double as a competition in which participants receive monthly prompts from the library on what to capture with their cameras. All participants’ work will be showcased on the library’s website, and the community will vote on which photo is the crowd’s favorite from each theme. Winners will receive a special prize.
Organizers of photography and similar graphic design contests may choose to advertise their events by utilizing local poster printing services to Print Posters for display in relevant spaces.
The fall photography contest will run from September 4 through November. Participants can submit their photos by emailing their Deerfield Public Library at photography@deerfieldlibrary.org. There is no fee to submit.
