The Chicago Lighthouse will hold the Games Galore: Mahjong, Canasta, Bridge & More event next month near Deerfield to raise money for the nonprofit’s charitable programs.
The Chicago Lighthouse is a nonprofit organization renowned for its charitable efforts in support of individuals with visual impairment, individuals with disabilities, and the veteran communities. It offers 35 services and programs running the gamut from helping visually impaired people retain their remaining vision, supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving developmental and educational milestones, and helping veterans find employment.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite games to play, such as canasta, bridge, and Mahjong. There will also be various pop-up shops there selling items such as purses, jewelry, and houseware products. A portion of the vendor sales will be donated to the charity. A light breakfast and lunch buffet will be included in ticket purchase. Tickets will also be on sale for guests to enter the raffle and have the opportunity to win fun prizes and Promotional Products from sponsors.
The game event is scheduled for May 18 from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm. It will be held at Northmoor Country Club, which is located at 820 Edgewood Road, Highland Park, just 10 minutes from Deerfield. Event admission is $125. Groups must register together to ensure members are assigned to the same table, and attendees must indicate during registration what games they will be playing.
