Deerfield to introduce new holiday market

In a few days, Deerfield will hold a new event called the Winter Market to provide the community with festive shopping and entertainment.

The Winter Market will be situated in downtown Deerfield and will feature 40 vendors selling everything from handmade crafts to unique specialty items. Local restaurants and food shops will also be participating by offering warm winter treats such as hot cider, popcorn, and roasted chestnuts. Some participating businesses are Judy's Pizza, Tamales Express, Lucky Burger, and Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Entertainment will include a meet-and-greet with Santa, which will comply with COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. There will also be a live Giant Snow Globe sponsored by Parkway Bank for families to enjoy. The Caroling Party, The Hurricane Sax Quartet, and St. Gregory’s Choir will be present performing live music for the crowd. The market will also highlight local charity drives such as the Optimist Tree Lot, Toys for Tots, and the Rotary Club Coat Donations.

Market events like this can provide the ideal atmosphere for local vendors to connect with customers and hand out Business Cards to boost visibility.

The Deerfield Winter Market is scheduled for this Saturday, December 4, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. It will take place on Park Avenue and Deerfield Road. The market is free to the public. For more information, contact the Deerfield Chamber of Commerce at 847-945-4660.
