The village of Deerfield has requested that citizens fill out a survey about the downtown area if they have an opinion to share.
The Village Center Resident Survey 2019 was created by the Village Center Commission of Deerfield, and should take about five minutes to complete. The questions include if residents would endorse visiting the downtown area to people they know, how safe it is to walk through downtown Deerfield, and the number of times they have gone to the venues and commercial establishments there.
The staff of the village said the goal is to advocate renovations to the downtown area of the village in order to promote its appeal and energy. Village officials will use the answers from the survey to plan improvements that residents want.
The village created the commission in order to spawn concepts for downtown Deerfield and support businesses in the village center. The commission also works with the chamber of commerce for the Deerfield, Bannockburn, and Riverwoods area to support and further private, commercial, and public projects in the downtown area. The group of seven members also has an opening available.
Surveys will be accepted by the VCC until March 31. Official surveys are commonly printed in bulk by Print shops so they can be readily available for residents to pick up at their convenience.
