Deerfield’s Julie Stevens will be part of the cast of ‘Love, Loss, and What I Wore’, produced by Peter Rasey and directed by Catherine Davis.
Stevens joins a rich cast actresses in the production, including Hannah Williams, Becca Duff, Beverly Coscarelli, Nicola Howard, and Carmen R. Lawrence.
The play was written by popular film writers Nora and Delia Ephron, who wrote ‘You've Got Mail’, ‘Sleepless in Seattle’, and ‘When Harry Met Sally’, and is based on the 1995 book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman
‘Love, Loss, and What I Wrote’ is a compilation of anecdotes presented by six females. They talk about their lives, love, and female attire. According to New York Times reviewer Charles Isherwood, the stories include bad prom dresses, dressing room lighting, and other common wardrobe malfunctions.
Patrons can see the play from this Friday, January 15, until the end of the month. Showings are at 3:00 pm or 8:00 pm on most days at Prairie Lakes Theater in Des Plaines. Admission is $25 for seniors and $30 regular. Patrons can also go to the website to buy tickets, and group packages are available.
