Deerfield psychology presentation highlights ethical dilemmas

Associates in Psychotherapy will host the Ethical Dilemmas in Clinical Practice presentation for any Deerfield area psychology professionals interested in how to approach ethical dilemmas and challenges in their day-to-day practice.

Associates in Psychotherapy is a psychotherapy practice that offers a multidisciplinary team of clinicians spanning four locations across Chicagoland. The practice aims to offer services that are high-quality, affordable, collaborative, and evidence based. The founder of the practice, Dr. Dr. Michelle Chaban, will be a presenter at the Ethical Dilemmas event.

The presentation will delve into ethical dilemmas that psychology professionals may stumble upon during clinical practice. Besides Dr. Chaban, other speakers include Dr. Samantha Fox, PSY.D, and Erin Lipin, LCSW. Together, they will explain the ethical principles as defined by the ethics code of the APA, delve into confidentiality and privacy considerations in ethical situations, explore the key concepts of cultural competence and dual relations, and offer steps to take when certain ethical situations arise.

Professionals attending field-relevant presentations like this may also encounter networking opportunities when gathering in the same space as peers and mentors. As such, these professionals may seek out local business card printing services to refresh their supply.

The Ethical Dilemmas in Clinical Practice presentation will take place on December 13 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. It will be held at 707 Lake Cook Road. Tickets are $25.
