Next month, Deerfield parents will get a well-deserved break when the Jewett Park Community Center holds the Parents’ Night Out event.
The Jewett Park Community Center was opened in 1973 and is part of the Deerfield Park District, which was founded in 1951 to provide the community with recreational facilities and services that promote healthy living and provide enriching opportunities. The community center hosts various educational and support-oriented events, such as February’s Parents’ Night Out.
The event will allow parents to drop off their children at the community center for an evening of supervised fun that will also adhere to proper COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. While parents go off for a fun night of their own, the children will enjoy a Valentine’s Day-themed dance party and dinner. Dinner will feature pizza and bottled water. Masks will be required for all staff and kid attendees, except during dinner. Both the dance party and dinner will be carefully monitored to ensure that the six-foot distancing guidelines are maintained.
Community events are often advertised by utilizing flyer printing to create enough Flyers to hang up in high-traffic public areas.
The Deerfield Parents’ Night Out is slated for February 12 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Jewett Park Community Center is located on 836 Jewett Park Drive. There is no cost to attend.
