Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods will invite Deerfield artists to become vendors at the 2022 Nature-Inspired Holiday Art Market.
Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods is an environmentally focused non-profit that boasts a historic house, nature trials, and nature-themed programming. As part of such programming, it will be hosting its sixth annual Nature-Inspired Holiday Art Market next month as a way for local artists to display their nature-inspired works.
The in-person market will be at the beginning of December, but there will be a seven-day online sale happening at the end of next month. The majority of the works exhibited by the artists for both the online and the in-person market will be required to be focused on natural or environment themes in terms of subject matter, function, and materials used. However, organizers encourage a variety of styles, interpretations, and media surrounding the theme. Items can include jewelry, decorative items, ornaments, fine artwork and prints, and functional items for the home and garden.
Vendors participating in online markets and exhibitions may decide to work on the graphic design aspects of their websites, while Business Cards are useful to have to hand when in-person markets come around.
The online market will be held from November 26 to December 2 on Brushwood Center’s website, followed by a two-day physical market at Brushwood Center itself. The artist application fee is either $30 or four hours of volunteering.
