This May, Best Foot Forward Events will present the North Shore Supermom 5K and Kids Fun Run in Deerfield to celebrate motherhood, as well as to raise money for a local nonprofit.
In honor of Mother’s Day, the 5K will honor all the hardworking mothers out in the community serving as superheroes for their families. Proceeds raised from the event will go towards supporting the Hallie225 Foundation, a nonprofit charity organization founded in memory of Hallie Grossman. During her lifetime, she worked hard for many noble causes, and the foundation continues that charitable work today.
The 5K will be offered as a run or walk, and the young ones will be able to compete in an in-the-park figure-of-eight run. Afterwards, there will be live music, dancing, hot chocolate and coffee, snacks, and more at the afterparty. Moms will be gifted with complimentary flower bouquets, and Fleet Foot Gift Certificates will be handed out to top finishers.
Athletic and fitness events like this are often sponsored by local businesses wishing to gain visibility in the community. As such, these businesses may donate Promotional Products to be given out during the event.
The North Shore Supermom 5K is scheduled for Sunday, May 11, beginning at 7:30 am. It will take place at Woodland Park, which is at 1425 Wilmot Road.
