Deerfield families to enjoy Halloween festivities

The Deerfield Park District will host the Halloween Hoopla: Family Fun Fest to provide a safe, fun, family-friendly event for the upcoming Halloween season.

The Deerfield Park District is in charge of the town’s parks, facilities, services, and recreational programs that promote healthy lifestyles, educational enrichment, and community experiences. The organization frequently hosts different community events and programming free of charge to the public, such as October’s Halloween festival.

The Halloween Hoopla will feature a cornucopia of kid-friendly activities, such as hayrides, fun games, and face painting. Other entertainment includes a magician present showing off mystifying magic tricks, a balloon twister creating cute balloon animals, and Halloween-themed costumed characters. Children will enjoy participating in the scavenger hunt in the park, playing in the inflatables, and riding in the trackless train. There will also be local food, treats, and snacks available for refreshment options.

Sponsors of the festival include the Alan Berlow Group, Coldwell Banker Realty, Jacqueline G. Rosen Orthodontics. Sponsors of community events often have the chance to choose different sponsorship packages, which may include certain perks such as the opportunity to include their company’s Logo Design on event advertising materials.

The Halloween fest is scheduled for October 22 from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. It will take place at Jewett Park on 836 Jewett Park Drive. Registration costs $5 per child for residents and $6 for non-residents.
