The free-to-attend 9th annual Healthy Lifestyle Expo will take place at the Sachs Recreation Center and is being presented by the DBR Chamber of Commerce.
The expo will feature fitness demonstrations, cooking demonstrations, children's activities, free samples of healthy snacks, and free health tests. Flu shots and pneumonia vaccinations will also be given and will be free for those with Medicare part B. For those without, flu shots will be $30 and pneumonia vaccines will be $75.
The free health tests will include tests for glaucoma, blood pressure, blood glucose, and body fat, and short medical consultations will also be available. There will be around 50 vendors and exhibitors at the expo selling and showcasing products and services that help to promote a healthier lifestyle. The types of vendors who one might expect to find there will include fitness centers, health food stores, book stores, and local health providers. A shredding truck will also be in attendance for those who have confidential papers from home or the office that they want to destroy.
Vendor space is available for $225 for Chamber members and $275 for non-members. They will be given Copies of the event poster and Postcards to hand out to their customers and clients. No doubt poster printing and postcard printing were supplied by Deerfield printing companies. Vendors and exhibitors will also receive recognition in the program booklet that will be distributed to everyone who attends.
