Deerfield community to bond over pickleball

The Deerfield Park Foundation will hold the Dinks & Soft Drinks Community Social next month for the community to come together for two days of pickleball play and community fellowship.

Operating as a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, the Deerfield Park Foundation’s mission is to improve the facilities and parks of the Deerfield Park District. The Foundation also offers financial assistance to residents who may need help accessing the recreational programs and opportunities. Special events, such as the pickleball happening this June, are frequently hosted by the nonprofit as well.

The Dinks & Soft Drinks Social will be a two-day celebration of pickleball with activities available for pickleball players of all levels. To kick off the event, the Community Social will be held on Friday and will invite all interested players to show up with their paddles, no registration required. The actual tournament will be held on Saturday and will require registration and a skill level of 4.0+.

Local businesses looking to become sponsors of the event, allowing then to use activities such as distributing Promotional Products for the event in exchange for advertising, should note that event organizers offer several different sponsorship opportunities.

The Dinks & Soft Drinks pickleball event will take place on June 6 and June 7. It will be held at Shepard Park Courts, which is located at 1040 Hackberry Road.
