In July, the NAMI CCNS will hold a charity pickleball tournament in Northbrook near Deerfield to raise money for and awareness of mental illness and mental health programs.
NAMI stands for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, a nonprofit and grassroots organization with the mission of helping people with mental illness and their families through advocacy, education, and research. The CCNS is the Cook County North Suburban affiliate group that supports the surrounding communities.
The NAMI CCNS Pickleball Tournament will be held to raise money for the free mental health programs offered by CCNS. These programs provide crucial support and resources for community members living with mental illness, and fundraises like this help keep them free and accessible. The tournament will feature men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles matches. All levels of experience are welcome, so people do not need to be seasoned players to enjoy the tournament.

The pickleball tournament is scheduled for July 13 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. It will take place at the Glenbrook Paddle Club, which is located at 1835 Raymond Drive, Northbrook, just five miles from Deerfield. Both men’s and women’s round robin registration fees are $60, as are the mixed doubles.
