This April, local education professionals and administrators should note that the “Online Moving to Biliteracy: Biliteracy and Dual Language Program Development” seminar will be held for the Deerfield and Highland Park area.
The event will be a two-day-long virtual seminar designed to help school and district level programming teams that are interested in implementing or re-focusing their dual language and biliteracy programs. The institute will be highly interactive even in its remote format, with the two days of instruction featuring both synchronous live sessions and asynchronous prerecorded sessions. The aim of the seminar is to develop and support dual language immersion, one- and two-way dual language, and late exit and maintenance bilingual programs.
Topics will include current trends in dual language education and the field of bilingual education, systems and structures for supporting effective biliteracy, bilingual unit framework intended to deliver standards-based dual language instruction, and other ways to support biliteracy instruction. A few days before the seminar, attendees will be emailed several links to watch prerecorded webinars to prepare for the event.
Even virtual events like this may benefit from more traditional methods of advertising, such as flyer printing and flyer distribution.
The biliteracy seminar is scheduled for April 17 and April 18. It will be held over Zoom for instructors in the Highland Park and Deerfield areas. Tickets are priced at $750.
