Four residents of the North Shore area, two being from Deerfield, have made this year's list of best wealth advisor under 40 years old.
According to Forbes, its list of the Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors consists of 250 individuals that control almost $500bn of customer wealth.
Deerfield resident J.R. Gondeck of HighTower Advisors, 38, is ranked as the top wealth advisor for the next generation in the state, and the fourth countrywide. HighTower Advisors has assets of over $1bn in its charge as of July. The average household account for his team varies, but is as high as $20m in some cases.
Vanessa Martinez, also 38 and from Deerfield, is an employee of HighTower Advisors. She ranks at number 42 in the category of best advisors under the age of 40. The rankings state household accounts in her custody range from $2m to $15m.
Ryan Birkhauser from Lake Forest, 34, and Liz Poplin, 39, from Northbrook also made the list. Both ranked in the top 250 advisors and work for their own respective groups at Merrill Lynch.
Individuals in the running for the Next Generation list were born in 1980 and have four or more years working in finance. At least one of these years must be with the company they work with currently. Their employer must nominate them and the nominee must have a compliance records acceptable to Forbes.
Making a Forbes list is a substantial accomplishment, so company may want to present the recognized advisors with Corporate Gifts as a reward.
