Bazaar to be held at end of November

A marketplace event is taking place later this month in Highland Park. Residents from nearby communities such as Deerfield are welcome to attend.

Makam Solel Lakeside is working with Best Futures to hold the Gift Bazaar for visitors, where they can browse and buy gifts for the holiday season. Guests can also shop for birthday gifts if they have someone whose birthday is coming up. There will be multiple vendors selling an array of items, such as art and jewelry.

The non-profit organization Best Futures manages a snack bar in Highland Park's Centennial Ice Arena. Individuals with intellectual and developmental delays run the concession stand. Profits from the bazaar will go toward establishing opportunities in the local area that help those with developmental and intellectual disabilities have enjoy a better quality of life.

The event is on Sunday, November 24 starting at 9:30 am and running until 12:30 pm. Makom Solel Lakeside will host the event at 1301 Clavey Road, where it is located. There is no cost to attend. Interested individuals can call Bari at 773-619-2967 with questions about the bazaar.
