Amdur Productions will present the Port Clinton Art Festival in Highland Park , and nearby Deerfield’s residents are welcome.
This is the 37th year of the Port Clinton Festival. Art Fair Calendar named this outdoor art event as one of the nation's best, where over 240 artists display their work, including internationally famous creators.
Medias on display will include photos, fashion, painting, and sculptures. The youth division of the festival focuses on artists under the age of 19 and allows them to participate in a professional art exhibit and see what goes into one.
According to Amdur Productions president and festival producer, Amy Amdur, the event started in 1983 and is now the state's biggest suburban celebration of art. It combines a diverse amount of creativity with an ideal location. The festival's location will be at 600 Central Avenue. Attendance and parking are free but a $5 donation is encouraged.
There will be interactive art presentation and children's activities. Local vendors will offer food and drinks and live musicians will play non-stop music on two stages. Outside the festival, attendees can take in the city's downtown layout and walk around the pedestrian-friendly streets, which are off limits to cars during the event.
The Port Clinton Art Festival will be on August 29 to 30, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm both days. Print shops create prints for famous photographers and painters to sell in bulk.
