An institution in Coeur d'Alene is planning an annual festival to celebrate the start of autumn and the harvest season.
The Museum of North Idaho is the organizer of the upcoming Harvest Festival, which offers a whole day of activities for the entire family. These include booths where artisans will offer handcrafted products, vendors serving food, live music, pumpkin painting, hayrides, and interactive history programs. More details, including the artists scheduled to perform, will be listed closer to the date of the festival.
The Museum of North Idaho offers events that illustrate history. For example, they will soon present Forest Cemetery Comes Alive, a living history experience where participants walk through the cemetery. There, costumed interpreters will portray some of the community members, business leaders, veterans, and pioneers that left their mark on North Idaho, and tell their stories firsthand.
The Harvest Festival is a community event that is open to the public at no cost. Some of the activities will be made available to those interested in purchasing them.
The event is sponsored by CDA Insurance, Walmart, and the local credit union P1FCU. The Harvest Festival is scheduled for October 17, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The museum is located at 720 East Young Avenue. Events such as this benefit when organizers work with banner printing to create appropriate decorations for the venue.
