National restaurant chain opens in Coeur d'Alene

A nationwide restaurant chain is coming to Coeur d’Alene, opening the first store of its brand in North Idaho.

Raising Cane’s, a restaurant known for its chicken fingers and signature “Cane’s Sauce,” is expanding with a location near the corner of I-95 and Neider Avenue. According to the company, the new location will boast 3,368 square feet of floor space and will feature a two-lane drive-thru. Embree Construction Group, a builder based in Texas, is providing general contracting services.

Raising Cane's was founded in 1996 by Todd Graves. According to company lore, the first store was so successful it remained open until 3:30 AM on its first day. Lots has happened since that first location on the Louisiana State University campus, and Raising Cane's is now one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in America. The restaurant chain’s trademark chicken offerings have catapulted Raising Cane’s popularity past that of KFC, according to a recent Newsweek article. The brand now has locations in 30 states and will open nearly 100 new locations nationwide this year. Poster printing or other Graphic Design Services can effectively promote restaurant openings.

The new restaurant is located at 201 Neider Avenue in Coeur d’Alene and will open in September 2025. Its construction is only one of several changes coming to the busy area, as other national retailers such as Jersey Mike’s and Sleep Number are also opening nearby.
