Colorful run planned in Coeur dAlene

An event that has become popular across the world is coming to Coeur d'Alene.

The NIC Color Fun Run will take place on the campus of North Idaho College, and it promises to be one of the most colorful events of the summer. The run is open to participants of all ages and is untimed. Participants are welcome to walk the course, run, or just hang out and watch. The idea of the day is simply to have fun. People should wear clothes they won’t mind having covered in colored powder; in fact, many people wear white clothes to make the colors pop.

Anyone coming to the run can expect to enjoy a live DJ who will keep things moving, and stations throughout the course will have color powder available. People attending the event can purchase drinks and food, and free goodies including sunglasses, a bandana, and T-shirt will be available as long as they last.

The NIC Color Fun Run is scheduled for August 29, on the NIC campus, 1000 West Garden Avenue in Coeur d’Alene. Students at the college can join in the run for free, as can anyone under age 18, while the fee for community members is $20. Runners can check in beginning at 10.00 am, and the run starts at 1.00 pm. When they plan events like this, organizers can work with banner printing to create course markers to make it simple for participants to find their way.
