Auto event comes to Coeur dAlene

An event for auto enthusiasts of all ages is on the way to Coeur d'Alene.

The Car d’Lane is a full weekend of fun that starts with a car cruise on the first night, followed by an auto show the following day. The car cruise is the largest in the northern part of the state.

The auto show will give everyone a chance to see classic cars close-up, including taking a peek under the hoods. In addition to getting to see the cars in detail, the day includes a Young Builders Alley, and a Poker Walk. People’s Choice Voting will determine the winning cars.

Young Builders Alley gives those 25 years old and younger to enter their auto-related project or car into this part of the show. Encouraging young people to show vehicles they have built themselves is a traditional part of the event. In addition, they must be able to drive their vehicles to and from the show as trailers are not permitted.

The weekend fun begins Friday, June 19, with the cruise taking place from 6.00 pm until 8.30 pm. The car Show & Shine is Saturday, June 20, from 8.00 am until 4.00 pm. Awards will be presented on the 20th at 3.30 pm, at Sherman Avenue and 5th. There is no admission charge for spectators. Events like this often benefit when organizers use poster printing to advertise them.
