The 9th annual International Festival and Dragon Boat Races is taking place next month. It is presented by the Peachtree City Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Rotary Club of Peachtree. Proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Survivors’ Network.
The theme of this year’s event is ‘Catch a Dragon, Change a Life’. Anyone can sign up to participate in the dragon boat races. Each team must consist of 11 people, and fees for each team are $500 until August 15 and $650 after.
The public will have the opportunity to watch the races and participate in the festival onshore. There is set to be an international food café with food tastings and dishes to purchase. There will also be musical entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, and a kids’ corner.
Sponsorships can be purchased from $250 up to $5,000. Sponsors will be recognized on Signs and will receive a vendor’s tent. No doubt the signage will be supplied by a Peachtree City Stationery printing firm.
The International Festival and Dragon Boat Races will be held at Drake Field and Lake Peachtree on September 24 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is free of charge.
