December starts out with the return of Peachtree City’s holiday infused annual Jingle Bell Run which includes a 5K and a 1-mile run.
As always Santa will make an appearance and the air will be filled with holiday music and once again runners will receive a quality, long-sleeved, full-color T-shirt, although shirt size for later registrants is not guaranteed. Fruit and water will be available to runners as well.
Runners can pick up their packets from 8 am to 6 pm on Friday, December 5 as well as on the day of the race, Saturday, December 6, starting at 7 am at Peachtree City Elementary School. On race day, warm up will be at 8:30 am with the 5K race starting at 9 am from the corner of Riley Parkway and Pinegate Road and the 1-mile race starting at 9:10 am from the city’s elementary school’s lower parking lot in front.
Well before a scheduled event banner and poster printing services may be employed to help make it a success.
Parking will be available next door to the school at Riley Field as well as at the church across the street from the school. Moreover, in the grassy area next to the school there will be golf cart parking. Shuttle service will be available from Peachtree City Christian Church located at 500 Kedron Drive.
