Popular Peachtree City ornament soon back in stock

Those who missed out on a must-have local Christmas keepsake will be glad to hear that they will have another chance to get their hands on one.

The Christmas ornament honoring Peachtree City’s unofficial mascot, Flat Creek Floyd, sold out at the Visit Peachtree City Visitors Center following an overwhelming barrage of orders. However, more have been ordered.

The 2025 Visit Peachtree City holiday ornament unexpectedly sold out as the organization underestimated the popularity of the iconic alligator. Flat Creek Floyd, who was first spotted in a creek near Highway 74 over a decade ago, caught the public’s interest as he quietly lived in proximity to shopping centers, walking paths and residential neighborhoods. Unfortunately, Floyd died from injuries sustained when he was hit by a car last summer.

The ornament showed a golf cart with Santa Claus at the wheel, with Flat Creek Floyd and Rudolph in the passenger seats. After the ornament sold out, the continued requests and social media buzz prompted Visit Peachtree City to place a second order.

Incorporating a company or community mascot in a logo is just one of the ways Graphic Design Services can be used to assist in creating a recognizable brand.

The second shipment of Flat Creek Floyd ornaments will be limited and are expected to arrive before the end of February. Availability information can be found on Visit Peachtree City’s social media accounts or on its e-newsletter.
