Peachtree City scouts invited to become trained in wilderness first aid

Knowing what to do in an emergency is crucial for those who spend a lot of time out in the back country. Peachtree City scout leaders, scouts, and others often in remote spaces for work or play can add wilderness first aid to their skill set, as a course be offered in early June.

The two days of training are intended for those who at least 14 years old and already have a CPR/FA certification. The course will include both indoor and outdoor learning, and the registration fee is $100.

Taking part in training like this can give the learners who participate both knowledge and an increased confidence in their ability to act in times of emergency. It will teach advanced skills that can make a big difference for someone who is ill or injured and far away from sources of professional help.

Training manuals for a course like this can be prepared by a printing services company. If they are distributed to each of the students, they will be able to refer to it in the future and continue to learn.

June 1 and 2 will see this training opportunity offered in the Flat Creek Nature Area. It is scheduled to run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm both days.
