Peachtree City will be bidding a fond farewell to the days of summer with an event that will bring the whole community together.
Participants in the “Labor Day 5K” will be following a route that begins and ends at The Avenue Peachtree City. Those who participate are welcome to bring along a four-legged friend to run with them, and a special event will be held just for the kids.
The morning will kick off at 6:30 am, when walk up registration and packet pickup will begin for the day. The sponsor booths are scheduled to open at 6:45 am, and this will be followed by a pre-race celebration before the runners set off at 8:00 am. The youngsters who are registered for the Tot Trot will start their event at 9:00 am, and parents are invited to cheer them on.
The race will have a chip start, and medals will be awarded to the first, second and third place finishers, and these will be presented during the awards ceremony which will be held once the runners have finished. Banner printing and other Print services for this sort of function can be performed by an area Print shop.
The “Labor Day 5K” will be taking place on September 1st. All who wish to say farewell to summer along with their friends and neighbors are invited to participate.
