Peachtree City goes the distance

Locals in Peachtree City can test their endurance at two races.

The Darkside Running Club is hosting its 14th Annual Peachtree City 50K and 9th Annual 25K. The course will consist of a loop that goes along golf course paths and through shaded areas. On the day, 50K participants will go around the loop six times while 25K runners will go around three times. Along the way, there will be aid stations. After every loop, runners will be told their split times.

After the race, participants and volunteers can enjoy refreshments. In addition, awards will be given to the top male and female finishers overall and in each age group. All participants will receive finisher’s medals and a special event gift.

Registration costs $65 until November 4. Registration is available online through Ultra Signups or via snail mail. If spots are still available, race day registration costs $75.

It’s likely the event organizers used Mailing services to promote their running club and races. A newsletter could be sent out with a list of upcoming races.

The race kicks off on November 8 at 7:30 am at Luther Glass Park, located on 269 South Peachtree Parkway. Packet pickup and race day registration will take place from 6:00 am until 7:00 am.

Free parking is available at Kauffman tire parking lot, located on the corner of Crosstown Drive and Peachtree Parkway.
