Print companies in Peachtree City will no doubt be playing their part in honoring servicemen and women from the Afghanistan and Iraq wars as part of this year’s veteran celebrations.
Hosted by the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Dixie Wing, Peachtree City’s 2014 Veterans Day Observance will take place as part of the pen house event. Now in its fourth year, the Veterans Day Open House is entirely free to everyone.
Anyone attending on the day will be treated to a tour of the museum and its displays, as well as the workshop, which still restores and maintains vintage aircraft. There will also be museum volunteers on the day to help answer any questions or queries that visitors have.
Primarily though, the celebrations will honor the nearly three million Americans to have been on duty in Afghanistan and Iraq since 2001.
To commemorate and honors those living and passed, Music Alive will perform suitably patriotic songs. Local veterans will also be recognized in particular, with guest speakers including Col Bob Grove USAF, Ret. and Peachtree City Mayor Vanessa Fleisch.
There will also be a flypast by Dixie Wing warbirds. That is slated to go off at around 12:30 pm, with many locals likely to enjoy the ancient aircraft in the air once more.
It all takes place this Saturday, November 8, and will run from 9:00 am through 1:00 pm.Get a Free Quote for Print
