New pickleball courts destined for old Kmart
Peachtree City’s old Kmart will soon be seeing some new action with renovations set to get underway to transform the empty space into an Ace Pickleball Club.
The former Kmart store, which has been leased by Pickle Jar Enterprises, LLC, is located in Braelinn Village at 400 Crosstown Drive and will be the second Ace Pickleball Club in Georgia. The brand, which has 15 locations across the country, is noted for its “open play” model that equally supports all members regardless of skill levels.
Pickle Jar Enterprises founding partner John Cyphers was quoted by The Citizen as saying:
Brochure printing services are invaluable for explaining how a new recreational facility will operate, its rules, and its hours of operation.
Ace Pickleball Club COO Brianne Carter said the company’s goal was to increase accessibility to pickleball to everyone in a community, regardless of their level of skill or experience.
Kimco Realty is the owner and operator of the property where the Ace Pickleball Club is opening and according to its Sr. Director of Real Estate Katie Littlejohn, plans are to include over 14 cushioned courts. The facility, on which renovations should begin in early 2025 with an opening date scheduled for summer, will be offering one-visit passes, memberships, competitions, and community events.

“Pickleball is unique in that it provides an access point for players of all ages and skill levels, and Ace’s model makes competition, community and year-round play possible.”
