That is the thought of one of the leading executives at worldwide golf buggy maker E-Z-GO, Eric Boundy, who said:
"It certainly builds jobs from a manufacturing perspective. It allows us to try and grow this population using those types of vehicle."
The governor also feels that it could be a job generator. No doubt readying Print companies in Peachtree City for a marketing drive on the buggies, Deal said at the announcement of the law change:
"I have every reason to believe that the expansion is going to result in more jobs right here.”
The bill allows local councils to grant permission for golf cart paths throughout their towns and cities.
As well as being good for the local economy, it could also help Peachtree City become more environmentally friendly by driving up the use of battery-operated vehicles.
Traditionally, many states have been hesitant in allowing widespread golf cart use. However, with the green benefits now coming to the fore, the opportunity for more local jobs to be teed up, and the backing of the state governor evident, such a move could soon have a fairway to go.Get a Free Quote for Print
