Local city hosts a day for the Scouts

The Girl Scouts will have a Space Science Day this February.

The event is open to both troops and individual Girl Scouts. During this space day, individuals will work on different badges and patches, including their Space Science Patch and Mars Landing Fun Patch and more.

Participants will be able to work in a self-directed way and at their own pace. They will also be able to select specific activities.

The registration fee of $20 per Scout will not cover the badges, but these can be purchased during the workshop or at registration. The registration fee will, however, cover the Fun Patch as well as all items needed for each activity.

Participants must register in order to attend the event. However, it is free for adults to attend. Older participants may be left at the event, however, younger participants may need to be accompanied by a guardian such as a troop leader or parent.

Print shops can be a great way to create materials for Scouts to use at events such as this one.

The event will happen on Sunday, February 26. The timeslot for Ambassadors, Cadettes, and Seniors is 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. For Brownies, Juniors, and Daisies, the timeslot will be from 2:15 pm to 4:15 pm.

The event will be at Discover Science Center on 2802 W. Highway 54, Peachtree City.
