Local chamber introduces new chairperson

The Fayette Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual meeting and awards luncheon next month in Peachtree. The first order of business will be for the current chairman to step down in favor of the new one, Debbie Britt.

A keynote address is set to be given by Douglas J. Hooker of the Atlanta Regional Commission.

One of the most important parts of this annual event is the honoring of several leaders in the business community. There are six awards to be handed out and they are Outstanding Business of the Year, the Chet Wells Award (for the person who has contributed the most to the Chamber throughout the year), Dreambuilder, Small Business of the Year, Young Professional, and Ambassador of the Year. The nominees must be members of the Chamber of Commerce, and the business award winners must have been members for at least a year, and in operation for a minimum of three years.

Events like this one in Peachtree City are also important networking events. Many will no doubt be bringing along their premium Business Cards.

The annual meeting and awards luncheon of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce will be held at the Aberdeen Woods Conference Center on January 15 from 11:30 am - 2:00 pm. Tickets are $75 each and tables for 10 are available. Call 770-461-9983 to learn more.
