Local chamber goes golfing

The Atlanta Airport Chamber will host a Peachtree City golfing event this November for residents.

Golfing with Veterans is an annual charity event by the Airport Chamber. Proceeds from the event benefits the veterans in the state and assist with immediate needs they may have such as food, shelter, and clothing. For this year, the fundraiser is targeting the Wounded Warriors Project. This organization is a countrywide operation and focuses its efforts on ensuring the care of veterans through mental health check-ups, forums, support groups, and assistance with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). There are also programs available to help them with careers outside of the military.

The project aims to change the lives of over one million injured warriors, caregivers, and family members. With the support garnered from this event, the Chamber hopes to play an active role in restoring a sense of independence and duty to the country’s veterans.

Those who would like to take part in this year’s staging may do so by registering on the event’s website, or through registration on site an hour before play begins. There will be options for individual registration and corporate sponsorship. Additionally, there is an option for donations, even without participation.

Poster printing is a great way for organizers to provide information about events like this.

The tournament takes place on November 16 at the Braelinn Golf Course at 500 Clubview Drive, Peachtree City. Play begins at 10:00 am.
