Historic shopping center to be redesignated Willow District
One of the original shopping centers in Peachtree City will be undergoing an exciting change that will include a revitalization and a rebranding.
Willowbend Shopping Center was established in 1996 and has since its founding been a community-focused space. This summer the renovations that were started in February will be completed, preserving its original character while being brought up to date.
Included in the renovations will be enhanced landscaping, improvements to the building’s exterior and updated signage with an eye to projecting a welcoming atmosphere. Rebranded as “The Willow District” the objective is to create a destination within Peachtree City where people will gather for a variety of experiences beyond mere shopping.
Already the project has garnered interest from businesses hoping to be a part of The Willow District. Pace Lynch Corporation’s Emily Winkle will be handling the leasing with the goal of bringing together a mix of new tenants to complement the current ones.
Banner printing services play an important role in drawing attention to a new enterprise.
In deference to the city’s unusual golf cart-friendly lifestyle, there will be designated golf cart parking at The Willow District in proximity to nearby Lake Peachtree. This should enhance accessibility to those who use the city’s cart paths to walk, bike or drive their golf carts.
A celebratory grand opening is expected to take place in either late supper or early autumn.
