Golfing for a cause in Peachtree City

A local high school in Peachtree City will host its golf tournament this August.

The event has been titled the Booker T. Washington Legacy Foundation Inaugral Golf Tournament. It will offer patrons the opportunity to contribute to the school's programs while enjoying an evening on the green. The event will also offer locals the opportunity to enjoy food, drinks, and games as they support the cause.

The Booker T. Washington Legacy Foundation is a non-profit organization founded on the principles of offering support to young African American children in Georgia that had little or no access to educational opportunities due to financial constraints. Through the annual golf tournament, alumni raise funds to benefit children in need at Booker T. Washington High School.

The school was established in 1925 to allow African American children a place to attend school. Since then, it has expanded in scope and depth to offer leading and quality education to children across the state.

The cost for entry to this event will be $160 for individual players, or $640 for a foursome group. There are also options available for event sponsorships. Further details are available on the event“s listing on Eventbrite.
