The City of Newnan is inviting its local business owners, community residents, and neighbors to attend one of the family-friendly events scheduled for this year’s holiday period.
The events on the city’s calendar include:
Holiday Slip & See: Downtown Newnan will be hosting this event on November 20, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm to help shoppers as they get started with their holiday shopping. A small gift market will be operating, and people will be served by food trucks while listening to live music.
Plaid Friday: A shopping event to put some life into the first day after Thanksgiving. Shops will be open all day on November 27 in a shopping environment a little different to Black Friday.
Santa & Snow Tubing in the Park: The Leisure Services Department will be in charge of installing and operating a snow tubing slide that will be a gift from SnowKings of Atlanta. Artificial snow will be blown up the slide and onto the tubing run. People who want to slide should show up on November 27 at First Avenue Park from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. There will also be a special visit by Santa’s Live Reindeer.
Santa Express: No holiday festival is complete without a visit from St. Nick, and Santa Claus will be trekking across the city on December 12. His exact route will be made revealed on the city’s social media and website a few days before.
