Newnan will hold a mental health festival in the second week of July.
This event is meant to bring awareness to various conditions, as well as provide calming activities for the attendees. Those dealing with stress from the Covid-19 pandemic are also welcome to attend and relax in what is designed to be a safe and fun space for everyone.
There will be a paid area of the festival, which will include access to art activities, music, an obstacle course, and a sensory area. Those who wish to visit this area of the event must have a wristband. It is likely this space will be marked with signage depicting a graphic design. There will also be the option to have a mental health evaluation in this zone. These will be offered to both children and adults.
In the general area, there will be live music and food trucks. Visitors will also have the ability to see the variety of mental health services offered in the local Newnan area. It will be a day for everyone to enjoy the company of others in a safe and friendly environment.
The Frayed Edges Festival will occur from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. It will be located at the Greenville Street Park. The date of the festival is July 10, and it is open to any age.
