A shop in Newnan is hosting an introduction to calligraphy in mid-August.
The lesson will be taught by an instructor who has flown in from England in order to host and bring their knowledge to others about the art that is calligraphy.
This day will allow for those interested to get a taste of what it takes to complete various Forms and steps of this ornate and intricate letter art. Attendees will learn everything they need to know to get started, plus some extra skills. The tools, strokes, Forms, and sentences/words will all be things covered within the lesson.
As a special gift, everyone will be able to take home their materials, including a workbook and a kit of the ink, nib, and pen. As a bit of a set of Promotional Products, those who purchase tickets to this class will also get cookies and coffee from the hosting venue, a local shop called Leaf and Bean.
A ticket purchase includes this food and drink, as well as the kit of materials. While the tickets are unable to be refunded, if someone is unable to make it, they can transfer them to another name as long as they make that request and get approved before the date of the event. These tickets cost $50.
This unique event will take place on August 14, from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
