Community organization receives new house

Coweta FORCE, with its headquarters in Newnan, now owns a home that will be used by the organization to help people in the community.

The house is situated on Burch Avenue and it was donated to Coweta FORCE by Jim Sells from Hope Property management. Sells surprised the executives at Coweta FORCE by donating $5,000 along with the house, and went on to say:

“To help you, we’re helping the community. You’re doing the heavy lifting, and we want to help you do that. You’re helping put individuals back together, which puts families back together, which helps the community.”

The house has four bedrooms and two baths, and will be used to help people recover from substance abuse. It is located relatively close to Coweta FORCE’s main offices at East Washington Street. Some renovations are required, although Hank Arnold, Coweta FORCE’s executive director, is working on finding a contractor to get the work done. Arnold had been hoping to get a house for the organization for a while. He had gone out and looked around, but found that he could not afford the prices. By chance, Sells went to Coweta FORCE’s organization to see if he can make a donation. He started talking to Arnold and found out that the organization wanted a house. Sells agreed to sell one to the organization at the price of one dollar.
