The Village at Mableton shopping center on Mableton Parkway will be undergoing renovations and gaining a series of new tenants.
Announcements of such updates and changes at a site are often made known to the public with banner printing.
Franklin Street, the leasing agent for Brixmor, is looking towards stores that focus on home furnishings, soft goods, and discount retailing, as well as quick-serve restaurants, home improvement businesses, and service providers. The shopping center, which covers 230,000 square feet, was once anchored by Kmart, but still features Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Planet Fitness, and Dollar Tree. Approximately 173,000 people visit the shopping center each year in a town where the population has grown by around a ninth since 2010.
Senior associate for retail services with Franklin Street, Kaitlyn Theriot, said that many retailers are more interested in smaller footprints these days, meaning there are opportunities for different kinds of new concepts in retailing to come to the shopping center.
There are four retailers with a national reputation whose leases are pending at the Village of Mableton. Still available are seven storefronts and a parcel of land for a quick-serve restaurant. Theriot said that once these leases are finalized, renovations to the shopping center will begin. These updates will include facades with a more contemporary design that will feature fresh materials and textures, and a clean color palette.
