New mayor to lead city of Mableton

The first mayor of the new city of Mableton will be Michael Owens.

Such new positions, as well as others elected to a new city government, typically require business card printing services.

Owens spent the day after Election Day thanking his volunteers and many others who helped him to get elected. He said he is now ready to take on the responsibility of creating a new city government.

He said that, as a veteran of the Marine Corps, it is important to him to take up such a challenge, to fill a place where there is a need, and to give everything he has to do the best job possible. He added that now is the time to lead the city and create a new government.

Although Mableton has no city manager, city hall, or transition team, Owens said that, as Mableton can still receive services from Cobb County for up to two years, he will take the time to plan and establish a city and ensure everything goes smoothly.

Owens said his long-term plans for the city include investing in parks and green spaces; establishing more grocery stores, shopping, dining, and healthcare options; revitalizing Veterans Memorial Highway; and protecting the values of homes. He added that in his role, he is chief advocate for the city to make it the best it can be.
