Hip-hop legends to rock Mableton

Some of the most influential names in hip-hop history are taking the stage at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre in Mableton this August.

On August 1, the lineup for “An Evening of Classic Hip Hop” includes Kwame, Big Daddy Kane, Chubb Rock, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh and Rakim.

While Rakim, of Eric B and Rakim fame, may have influenced acts as diverse as Public Enemy and Eminem, the rapper himself said Michael Jackson was an influence on his music. Eric B and Rakim were also recently inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Then on August 8, hip-hop artists Bun B, Plies, Trick Daddy and 8Ball & MJG take the stage.

Concerts like this may choose to use Print shops to create marquees, venue Signs and promotional Posters.

Both shows take place in the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre in Mableton, which former Georgia Governor Roy Barnes helped create for a price tag of $7 million back in the year 2000. Ever since, it has been a premier venue, largely focusing on major R&B and hip-hop talent that comes to town.

With 2,500 seats to its name, including 1,200 sheltered table seats and 1,000 open lawn seats, the venue has room for both VIP tables and general admission sections, with a decent view of the stage from nearly any position.

For both performances, the showtime is at 7 pm each day, and doors open at 6 pm.
