Mableton non-profit to host economic development conference

The inaugural Economic Development Summit of the Mableton Improvement Coalition (MIC) will be held later this month at the Riverside EpiCenter on Riverside Parkway in Austell.

The Summit is designed for those who are committed to the growth of Mableton as well as entrepreneurs looking to transform their business or start a new business. The Summit will provide access to resources to drive commercial sustainability and promote efforts for comprehensive revitalization as well as offer many opportunities for networking.

The four general business sessions and the two workshops will be led by business consultants, leaders in the industry, financial institutions, and decision and policy makers. Among the distinguished and influential business leaders at the Summit will be Roy Barnes, governor of Georgia; former Cassius Butts, former United States Small Business Administrator; Dana Johnson form the Cobb Chamber; and Nelson Jeter from the Development Authority of Cobb County.

Businesses in the area that specialize in brochure printing can create Brochures to focus on the specifics of such conferences as this one.

MIC is an all-volunteer non-profit organization that works to enhance communications and facilitate initiatives that benefit the welfare of the community.

The cost for the Summit is $50 per person with breakfast and lunch being served during the event. The Summit will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday September 30.
