Animal adoptions free during Black Friday Weekend

Decatur residents looking for a 'fur baby' will be pleased to know that LifeLine Animal Project is holding an #AdoptDontShop promotion this Black Friday weekend, featuring free adoptions at all of its shelters, for all animals.

Starting tomorrow, November 23, the day after Thanksgiving and continuing until Monday, all adoptions are free at LifeLine shelters. Additionally, there will be no extra charge for a pet’s spaying or neutering, vaccines and microchip during this promotion.

LifeLine Animal Project’s Fulton and DeKalb county shelters are at capacity with loving dogs and cats waiting for approved adopters to give them a forever home. Other participating locations are the LifeLine Cat Adoption Center in Scottdale, and Avondale Estates’ LifeLine Dog House & Kitty Motel.

Using a flyer printing service far enough in advance for the public to make plans and consider their options can boost the success of promotions such as this one.

LifeLine Animal Project is a nonprofit organized in 2002with a mission to end euthanasia in county shelters among animals that are healthy or treatable. The organization manages Fulton and DeKalb County Animal Services and has raised county shelter adoptions threefold. It operates two LifeLine Spray & Neuter Clinics as well as a private rehabilitative shelter.

The organization has sterilized nearly 38,000 stray or feral cats via its Community Cat program, and is the first trap-neuter-return assistance program in the metro Atlanta area.
