Decatur’s streets will come alive this fall for the West Ponce Music Stroll 5K this November.
This community-driven event blends fitness, live entertainment, and local business engagement. Now in its fourth year, Fleet Feet Decatur's run-walk event continues to strengthen neighborhood ties while spotlighting the West Ponce business district.
Runners and walkers will enjoy a chip-timed 5K race that doubles as an introduction to Decatur’s vibrant downtown scene. Beyond the starting line, participants will encounter a lively atmosphere as West Ponce merchants open patios and parking areas for a full day of free live music, art displays, and vendor activities. The race supports Decatur Makers, a nonprofit providing educational resources, scholarships, and programming focused on underserved communities.
The event will include pre-race warmups, yoga, and dance sessions led by instructors from Clarity Fitness. Awards will be presented to top male and female finishers, with age categories following USATF standards. The cost to participate is $27.50. The entry fee covers event timing and participant materials.
Participating vendors may offer Promotional Products such as branded athletic gear at events such as this one. Attendees and participants alike are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the post-race festivities
The West Ponce Music Stroll 5K will take place on Saturday, November 16th, from 8 am to 11:30 am at 431 West Ponce de Leon Avenue #1, Decatur, Georgia. Packet pickup will be held at Fleet Feet Decatur on Friday, November 15th, from 10 am to 5 pm.
