The Decatur Arts Festival will be taking place the first weekend of May, organized by the Decatur Arts Alliance.
The festival will begin on Friday, May 3rd with ArtWalk. This is a city-wide celebration featuring multiple venues displaying artwork alongside live music in the downtown Decatur area. Local businesses will host free receptions with refreshments.
On May 4th and 5th, the Artists Market will showcase creations by 120 artists from across the Southeast. Visitors can browse and purchase unique pieces at this juried outdoor exhibition. Throughout the weekend, live music, comedy, theater, and dance performances will take place at various locations. Chalk artists will also be present to add to the creative atmosphere.
Families can attend Kids’ Fest on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm at the Decatur Recreation Center. Children can participate in crafts, enjoy inflatable attractions, and engage in interactive activities.
Food vendors and local restaurants will offer a variety of dining options, and attendees can carry beverages throughout the festival within the city’s designated open-container zone.
Print shops may be used by vendors to inform patrons about what they have to offer at events such as this one.
The festival runs from May 3rd to May 5th in downtown Decatur, Georgia. ArtWalk takes place on Friday from 6 pm to 10 pm, the Artists Market is open on Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.
